1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar mechanism that saves data on your device. Both can be technical (needed for the site to work or to remember a choice you made) or analytics / profiling (used to measure or track behaviour). Technical ones do not need consent; the others need it before they are set.
2. What this Website uses
Technical storage — always active
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
theme | Local storage | simone98dm.dev | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme | Until you clear browser data |
cookie-consent | Local storage | simone98dm.dev | Stores your cookie choice so the banner is not shown on every page | 6 months, then you are asked again |
These entries never leave your device and are not used to track you.
Analytics cookies — only with your consent

|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Cookie | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes visitors with a pseudonymous identifier for aggregated statistics | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Cookie | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps the session state for the same statistics | 2 years |
These cookies are set only after you click "Accept analytics". Until then the Google Analytics script is not even loaded. Google Signals and advertising features are disabled. Google acts as a data processor; see Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
